Were they top players because they were your friends? With a prize tournament I don't the "top" players would quit. But www.mmorpg.com rated guild wars as one of the most popular games (dependent on the people who visit their site) and I stopped playing for a while and went to other mmo's before, but always come back. I think guild wars killed other MMO's for me because I now hate grinding even though I used to play Lineage II! I won't mind the grinding in GW2 probably, I assume it'll be as easy to max lv as WoW if there is one like in GW2.

Conclusion: GW funz.

Correct, but if you bought the new campaign every time it came out, I think it whittled down to about 11-12 dollars per month. That was awhile go, and It's actually being made up now w/ the development of GW2 and GW:EN so it's probably at about 6 dollars per month you're paying right now, if you started when the game came out.

Still a Heck of A lot cheaper than WoW, so I'm happy. Anet also did a smart move because they made the market available to Younger players. If you think about it, any who is not old enough to use a credit card (I.E. Me) and wants to play an MMORPG. He looks at WoW and asks his parents if he could pay 15$ every month in order to play, but he doesn't make that much money, and his mom & pop won't pay for it. So he saves up and buys GW, Cheers!

lol avenge ... but also , its not a matter of being too young either , I dont believe in credit cards > I'll be usless with it , I'd spend and spend (mainly on new chars slots.) { I wish they'd make pay pal an option.} but even so if they charge for a game , then a monthly fee , thats messed up if you ask me ..
